Up on the Marquee: LOVE LETTERS

The strictly limited engagement of Carol Burnett & Brian Dennehy in the Broadway production of LOVE LETTERS at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) will be extended for two additional performances: Saturday, November 8 at 2pm and 8pm. LOVE LETTERS begins performance Saturday, September 13, at 8pm, and tickets are now on sale at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre box office for the first Broadway revival of A.R. Gurney's enduring romance about first loves and second chances. A limited number of tickets for theThursday, September 18, opening performance at 7pm, are available for purchase. Two friends, rebellious Melissa Gardner and straight-arrow Andrew Makepeace Ladd III have exchanged notes, cards and letters with each other for over 50 years. From second grade, through summer vacations, to college, and well into adulthood, they have spent a lifetime discussing their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, and victories and defeats. But long after the letters are done, the real question remains: Have they made the right choices or is the love of their life only a letter away?
