Union Arts Center and mainstages, an educational theater company for children, team up to present a fun, interactive performance of DETECTIVE LINGO AND THE CASE OF THE MISSING MONA LISA, directed and created by Matt Dorter and performing February 4 at 4pm at Union Arts Center (2 Union Street, Sparkhill, NY 10976) in the Nyack region. Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for children and can be purchased at www.uacny.com/ or at the door.

Detective Lingo is a private investigator who solves the world's greatest mysteries with the help of keen observation and his Junior Detectives. In this chapter, Lingo finds himself in a curious caper at the beautiful Union Arts Center in the Nyack region, investigating the disappearance of the world famous painting, the Mona Lisa. Help Detective Lingo find the clues he needs to solve this mystery in what may be his most challenging case yet!

mainstages interactive performances feature multimedia, character, and puppetry with hilarious and high energy results. Interactive performances are steeped in educational values and are adapted by professional theater educators to engage children of all ages.

The cast features seasoned NYC and children's theater performers Robert Tarushka (I Do Wonder, Gene Frankel Theatre) and Clara Kundin (Loudmouth, Rebel Playhouse).

Matt Dorter (Director) is the executive director of mainstages and a seasoned camp and theater professional with over 15 years staff experience at both day and resident camps. Matt graduated New York University's Tisch School Of The Arts with degrees in Theater and Applied Education and served as Company Manager of the New Acting Company in New York City. Matt has toured with the National Theater for Children and has written, directed, and produced over 150 shows for children. Matt is a consultant on theatrical services for summer camps and is a presenter for the American Camp Association on theatrical best practices. Matt is proud to be a founding member of the mainstages team and is passionate about the goal of using creativity to inspire social action and strengthen theatrical arts in the youth movement.

mainstages is an educational theater company for children. Every summer mainstages runs theater programs and produces shows at sleep-away and day camps across the nation. Throughout the year mainstages implements afterschool programs, tours with game shows and interactive performances, and leads family events. mainstages provides all the tools for your theater production with kids including dynamic teaching artists, innovative activities, scripts, costumes, backdrops, fun giveaways and ongoing support to ensure success.

Through the restoration of a classic fire house in the charming hamlet of Sparkill, Union Arts Center has become a supportive and welcoming venue for cultural exchange and creative expression.
