Naughty! The Musical World of Emmet Taylor Farkas, a new musical comedy by Leo Schwartz, will have its world premiere reading Thursday, September 27 at the Sage Theatre (711 7th Avenue) at 4:30PM & 8PM as part of this year's New York Musical Theatre Festival.  Naughty! has been awarded the 2007 NYMF Director's Choice Award.

"Naughty! shines the spotlight on the career of the incredibly prolific, but little known musical theatre composer Emmet Taylor Farkas, who wrote 46 wildly creative and diverse musicals, all undiscovered and unproduced…until now.  Naughty! features four actors performing 42 roles from seven of Farkas' outrageous musicals.  In the musical world of Farkas, Helen Keller sings, Peter Rabbit curses, Beaver Cleaver comes out of the closet, and a blues singer leaves her thalidomide lover for a double amputee," describe press notes.

Naughty! stars Lisa Howard, Patti Murin, Michael James Scott and Frank Vlastnick.  The show is directed by Fred Hanson, with musical direction by Kevin Stites and movement by Richard J. Hinds.  For tickets and information, go to www.nymf.org
