Manhattan Theatre Club will hold its Annual Spring Gala on May 15th at the New York Hilton (1335 Avenue of the Americas at 53rd Street). Tony Award-winner Tyne Daly, who was last seen in MTC's production of Rabbit Hole, has been announced as the evening's host.

Cynthia Nixon will also make an appearance at the gala, which will begin at 7 PM and include cocktails and a silent auction--which will offer the chance to bid on tickets to
Chicago's 10th anniversary performance and party, as well as on a cruise to Alaska and a trip to Dublin, among others.
After an 8 PM dinner, performers will bring to life numbers from Broadway shows at 9:30 PM. The featured shows will include as
The Drowsy Chaperone, The Wedding Singer, Jersey Boys, The Color Purple, and
Ring of Fire. MTC is currently presenting Conor McPherson's
Shining City at Broadway's Biltmore Theatre; it opens on May 9th.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's
Based on a Totally True Story on City Center Stage II. David Lindsay-Abaire's
Rabbit Hole ran from February 2nd through April 9th.
Daly won a 1990 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress
in a Musical for Gypsy, and has also appeared on Broadway in The Seagull, among others. Daly has won six Emmy Awards,
including four for "Cagney & Lacey" and most recently in 2003 for
Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for "Judging Amy." All funds from the gala will benefit MTC's various theatre development and educational programs.
