Kinky Boots producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Tyler Glenn (lead singer of the multi-platinum rock band, Neon Trees) will take over the role of "Charlie Price" in the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) beginning on Sunday, May 6. Glenn, whose Neon Trees song - "Everybody Talks" was a Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, will play a limited run through Sunday, July 15. Glenn takes over for David Cook who is playing "Charlie Price" through Saturday, May 5.
"I'm over the moon to make my Broadway debut playing 'Charlie Price'," Glenn said. "I love this show and its message of inclusion and its genuine sweetness and humanity. Plus, it's just so much fun. I'm honored to be a part of the family and rock the boots all summer long!"
producers also announced today that Carrie St. Louis (Wicked, Cruel Intentions: '90s Musical Experience) will take over the role of "Lauren" beginning on Friday, May 4. She is set to replace Kirstin Maldonado, who will play her final performance on Thursday, May 3.
Lastly, the producers announced that J. Harrison Ghee will return to the role of "Lola" on Tuesday, May 1. He takes over the role again after current star Wayne Brady plays his final performance onFriday, April 26.

Tyler Glenn is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is known as the lead singer and songwriter in the American multi-platinum rock band Neon Trees and as a solo artist. Aside from his music career, as an openly gay man Tyler finds passion in advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, especially in his home state of Utah, where he's collaborated with Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons to form the LOVELOUD festival, now in its second year. The creation and journey to LOVELOUD, along with Tyler's personal story of faith and sexuality is documented in the upcoming HBO Documentary Film "BELIEVER" which premiered this year at the Sundance Film Festival and will make its television debut on HBO this summer.
