"Something specific struck me when seeing plays in Ireland this year. A distinct voice is rising on crucial issues, and it's coming from women...Several of their works touch on the abortion referendum, a shared catholic history, #metoo and #Ibelieveher which I needed to bring to our New York audience. Two plays especially, "Innit" and "Get The Boat" powerfully display theater's capacity to engage conversation on relevant societal issues. They epitomize these emerging voices of outstanding modern Irish women playwrights, and we're proud to bring them to SoHo Playhouse." SoHo Playhouse, Artistic Director Darren Lee Cole
