Earlier this week, Michele broke her silence on the tragic loss of her Glee co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith. The actress took to Twitter on July 29th to thank fans for their strong support through these difficult days, and again yesterday, July 31st, to talk about spending her day "surrounded by great friends".Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on July 13th, the result of an accidental drug overdose. In recent weeks, his fellow Glee stars, including Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz and Chris Colfer, have shared their grief through instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Others, including Matthew Morrison and Chord Overstreet, have expressed their sadness by dedicating musical performances to their fallen friend.
Michele portrays Rachel Berry on the FOX musical drama. It was recently announced that she would return as a series regular on the show's upcoming fifth season, now set to premiere on September 26th.
