Turn to Flesh Productions Welcomes New Executive Director

On Saturday, December 6th at 9:30 PM, TURN TO FLESH PRODUCTIONS announced their new Executive Director, Sam Turlington.

With an extensive background both in management and performance, Ms. Turlington's vision for Turn to Flesh Productions expands the original charter of "Modern Themes. Classical Styles." to include outreach and education for young colleagues, giving classical theatre artists a place to experiment with form, and ensuring the continued quality of bringing the classic style to modern audiences in a new way.

"This coming season is all about strengthening our community, building lasting professional relationships, and reaching out to new audiences, as we move into our second year," Ms. Turlington said in a press release. "I believe in Turn to Flesh and its commitment to fostering an American Renaissance. I believe we can begin here."

SAM TURLINGTON is a singer, actor, director and educator currently working in New York City. She holds a Conservatory Certificate from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from The New School.

She has been instrumental to increasing the scope of The New York Choral Society, where she serves on the Board of Managers, as part of the Marketing Committee, as Editor-in-Chief of the monthly newsletter, with especial interest in social media. An active member in business for the past fifteen years, Sam has worked previously as a consultant on behalf of Turn to Flesh Productions in negotiations, strategy, and management.

Recent roles: Gerta (Original Workshop Cast of The Snow Queen/Turn To Flesh Productions), Ophelia (Rockabye Hamlet/Ophelia Theatre Group), Katherina (Taming of the Shrew/Open Air Shakespeare), Leonato (Much Ado About Nothing/OAS), Mama (Children of Eden/New River Stage), Misty/Dale (Incongruence/Ivy Theatre Company).

Recent chorus work: The Singing Rooms (NY Premiere/Carnegie Hall), The Tempest (American Ballet Theatre/Koch Theatre), Andrea Bocelli (Tour/Barclays Center), The Richard Tucker Gala (Annual/Avery Fisher Hall).

Recent directing work: Donkey Punch: Off-Broadway (Assistant Director/Ivy Theatre Company), Alone in Triptych; Off-Off Broadway (Assistant Director/Concrete Temple Theatre, Peter Pan (Director/Summer Musical Enterprise), Honk! The Musical (Director/New River Stage).
