The Watermill Center will present an outdoor site-specific performance of the Trisha Brown Dance Company's Trisha Brown: In Plain Site, The Watermill Center, Water Mill, New York on the grounds of The Watermill Center on May 28 & 29 at 5pm. The performance inaugurates The Center's reACT series, presented in celebration of the 10th anniversary of The Center's facility located in Water Mill, NY. reACT features special performances by former Watermill Artist Residents, providing them with a unique opportunity to return to Watermill and present original work. Trisha Brown was one of the first Resident Artists at The Watermill Center.

Trisha Brown: In Plain Site allows Brown's dances to be freed from the constrictions of the conventional stage and to once again be performed in unexpected locations. But unlike her previous site-specific adventures, this program will mine and then recombine material from her vast repertory to accommodate the unique spatial demands of The Watermill Center. The program will feature a selection of Brown's Early Works including Group Primary Accumulation (1973), Solo Olos (1976), and For MG: The Movie (1991).

Associate Artistic Directors Carolyn Lucas and Diane Madden visited The Watermill Center and collaborated with Watermill in the selection of performance sites and pieces that would best fit the selected locations. Through this process, Lucas and Madden reimagined Brown's work and found new ways to express and share her genius. By experiencing the performance up close, the audience can engage with Brown's work in an intimate way, illuminating her fifty years of investigation.
