Trevor Bachman's Orwell Inspired FARMED Tackles Voters' Rights Image

Composer and vocalist Trevor Bachman continues his U.S. tour of FARMED: A Live Podcast Album after a packed concert at Joe's Pub in May. Join LICA, Theatre C, The Bushwick Book Club and The Parsnip Ship for a hybrid concert experience highlighting voter rights as they present FARMED: A Live Podcast Album, featuring performances by The Bushwick Book Club.

Inspired by George Orwell's Animal Farm, FARMED combines live interview with soul-stirring beats, electric harmonies, and an earth-shaking choir of voices. Bachman (who currently stars in Jomama Jones' Black Light off-Broadway) has been described by the NY Times as "musically and vocally rich" and noted for his "soulful vocals." FARMED is described as a fresh song cycle and live interviews score that plays as a heart-pounding soundtrack to an Orwellian America. Bridging gaps between fact and fiction and based entirely in conversations, FARMED empowers the listener to engage with what they hear.

The event feature David Andre, Trevor Bachman (BLACKLIGHT), Will Bellamy (ON A CLEAR DAY), Elijah Caldwell, Jonathan Christopher, Keiji Ishiguri, Clarissa Marie Ligon, Angel Lin (ONCE Nat'l Tour), Michael Lorz (CHARM), Luke Marinkovich (BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY), Barrie Lobo-McLain (HUNDRED DAYS), Josephine Spada (AMERICAN IDIOT Nat'l Tour), Yianni Papadimos, Neil Tyrone-Pritchard (LABryinth), Josh Quat (BLACKLIGHT), Kuhoo Verma (THE BIG SICK), Sylver Wallace with Noel Brennan on percussion. The October 23rd concert features performances by The Bushwick Book Club, an international literary music collective that presents original music inspired by novels. Performing for The Bushwick Book Club are John S. Hall, Spiritchild, Lusterlit, Ellia Bisker, Don Rauf and Ray Brown. Also joining FARMED for the evening is 2018 Democratic Congressional candidate Suraj Patel.

Trevor Bachman and FARMED: A Live Podcast Album has received previous developmental support through Fresh Ground Pepper, New York Theatre Workshop, The Sundance Institute, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, and is continuing to develop partnerships with theaters and grassroot organizations across the country.

FARMED: A Live Podcast Album is being produced by LICA, Theatre C, The Bushwick Book Club and The Parsnip Ship with Zach Infante.

Plaxall Gallery is located at 5-46 46th Avenue, Long Island City NY. Doors open at 7:30pm and the concert event begins at 8:00pm. Purchase your tickets at farmed.eventbrite.com
