The Duplex Cabaret will continue its "Broadway Downtown" series on Monday, April 3rd at 7pm with a concert performed by Trent Armand Kendall.

Kendall will break away from rehearsal for Li'l Abner at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Hadam, CT, where he will be playing the role of Marryin' Sam (April 21st – July 8th), in a production directed by Scott Schwartz.

The concert will be an "eclectic evening of music entitled Who Am I?: a blended confection of sweet jazz, hot blues, tasty pop, savory T&B, delectable Broadway and gritty gospel." Also featured will be never-before-heard original songs by songwriter Michael Polese, arranged by Kendall.

Kendall most recently appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning revival of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, in which he played the Steward and was the understudy for The Baker. He was a member of the original cast of Bat Boy, The Musical (off-Broadway, originating the role of Mrs. Taylor/Rev. Hightower). Other credits include Five Guys Named Moe, Hey, Mr. Producer! (London), Finian's Rainbow (revival), Nunsense, Amen!, The Wizard of Oz, Juba, Smokey Joe's Cafe (first national tour), Joseph… (Canadian premiere). His television credits include "Strangers with Candy."

"Broadway Downtown," now its second year, is an acclaimed series of The Duplex Cabaret Theatre, featuring one-night-only concerts from favorite Broadway performers. Past participants have included Judy Blazer (Titanic), Kristy Cates (Wicked), Darius DeHaas (Rent), Barrett Foa (Avenue Q), Michael Longoria (Jersey Boys), Karen Mason (Mamma Mia!), Sally Mayes (Steel Magnolias), Christiane Noll (Jekyll and Hyde), Anne Runolfsson (The Phantom of the Opera), Kate Shindle (Jekyll and Hyde), Marty Thomas (Wicked) and Barbara Walsh (Hairspray).

There is a $20 cover charge, as well as a two-drink minimum. Credit cards are accepted, and no one under 21 will be permitted. The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is located at 61 Christopher St., in the heart of New York's West Village. Advanced tickets may be purchased via Smarttix: www.smarttix.com, or 212.868.4444.
