Treehouse Comedy Returns to Danbury After Hiatus; April-May 2014 Lineup Announced!

The Treehouse has announced the best in live comedy is now, back in Danbury. Opening Night is Thursday April 17th in an All New Treehouse Comedy Showcase hosted by 2012 Grand Champion of the Funniest Comic in New England Contest John Romanoff and our first headlining show will be staged on Saturday April 26th. This show will star funnyman Joe Materese.

Joe has appeared in his own Comedy Central Special as well as appearances on the Tonight Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Late Show with David Letterman, Chelsea Lately on E!, Bravo's Better Half and also heard on The Howard Stern Show and Jim Breuer Shows on Sirius and XM Satellite Radio.

Both shows are at 7:30, tickets are $12 Thursday & $19.5 for Saturday.

The Treehouse staged its first Danbury, Ct. show back in 1990 and had an awesome run in that market through 1997. During those Treehouse Danbury years, the Treehouse staged such comedy luminaries as Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Colin Quinn, Gilbert Gottfried, Dom Irrera and Paula Poundstone. All but one of those comics is included in Comedy Central's list of "The 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All-Time". The Treehouse came back to Danbury with a vengeance in 2006 staging weekly shows up until about a year and a half ago. We are anxious to set up our comedy shop at Coyote Maverick, located at 48 Newtown Rd. in Danbury, CT.

We don't want to reflect on the past we want to look to the future. Yes, a future looking funnier for Danbury area residents filled with laughter, levity, and comedic good times.
