Equally at home on the concert stage or at a folk festival, award-winning Cape Breton fiddler Natalie MacMaster is one of the most versatile and exciting young Canadian musicians. In addition to her ten albums and Grammy nominations, MacMaster has collaborated and performed with Alison Krauss, Faith Hill, Carlos Santana and Paul Simon and dozens of distinguished symphony orchestras. She has appeared on Good Morning America, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and The Early Show.
MacMaster is part of The Town Hall 2009 season that includes Johnny Pacheco (March 20), Doo Wop Reunion III (March 27), Andrea Marcovicci (May 16), the Romulo Larrea Tango Ensemble (June 5), Bebel Gilberto (June 19), and the hit series Broadway By The Year ® (1931: March 30, 1944: May 11 and 1970: June 15). Built in 1921 by a group of suffragettes, The Town Hall began as a lecture hall and public forum for debates. Over the decades, the stage has been graced by Eleanor Roosevelt, Margaret Sanger, Billie Holiday, Igor Stravinsky, Bob Dylan and Miles Davis.
