On Sunday, October 17, at 7 p.m., Lower Manhattan's Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will host a screening of the documentary film The Journey To Golda's Balcony, followed by a discussion and question-and-answer session with Broadway star Tovah Feldshuh. The 33-minute documentary traces Feldshuh's journey to become Golda Meir, juxtaposed with footage of the legendary prime minister and other notable Israeli leaders. The film is narrated by Alec Baldwin.
Tovah Feldshuh, a four-time Tony nominee, won the 2003 Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actress and the 2003 Drama Desk Award for Best Solo Performance for her starring role as Prime Minister Golda Meir in Golda's Balcony. She is a two-time Emmy nominee for Holocaust and "Law and Order," and the winner of a 2002 Golden Satellite Award for her work in the feature film Kissing Jessica Stein.
Tickets to the event are $15 adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for members and students. Advance reservations recommended.
