In March of this year, the 11 year-old Tori Murray made history as the youngest solo act to ever appear at Feinstein's / 54 Below. She received unanimous rave reviews for her starring role as Tina Denmark in the award-winning smash Off-Broadway production of RUTHLESS! The Musical, now in performances at St. Luke's Theatre (308 W 46th Street). Tori stars in the Friday, July 8th episode of Nickelodeon's "All in with Cam Newton," a new series that pairs talented young people with experts and mentors in order to help them realize their dreams. In the episode, Tori spends an entire day working with her Broadway idol, two- time Tony Award winner, Sutton Foster.
Ready or Not, Here I Come is produced by Evan Sacks and features vocal arrangements by Thomas and Linda Smargiassi, a story by Tom and Tori Murray, and staging by Jeramiah Peay (RUTHLESS! The Musical).
All ticket proceeds will go to the Broadway Dreams Foundation, a premier, national performing arts education program dedicated to ongoing engagement, inspiration, and access regardless of a student's ability to pay. With a faculty of Broadway stars, the unique program offers students highly personalized and supportive mentorship, an exciting, and collaborative learning environment and ongoing networking to build confidence and life skills. In 2015, 42% of all BDF students participated on full or partial scholarship.
