Production on the highly anticipated 2014 Christmas tentpole movie musical release INTO THE WOODS, based on Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's beloved fairy tale-themed musical, currently continues in the UK, with on location filming in Hambleden as well as ongoing studio work at Shepperton Studios under the direction of Rob Marshall and photos from both sets, plus shots of the actors in costume and social media posts commenting on the finer points of the filming process itself is now available. According to Clyde Fitch Report, Close reportedly turned down the highly sought-after role of 'Helen Sinclair' in the upcoming stage adaptation of Woody Allen's BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, starring Zach Braff. As previously announced, Allen turned down stage legends Patti LuPone and Bernadette Peters, both of who reportedly auditioned, and is now leaning towards casting Marin Mazzie, who took on the role in the recent readings of the production. (Theatre World Award), and later went on to originate roles in 'Goodtime Charley' (with Tony and Drama Desk nominations) and 'Bob Fosse's Dancin' (Tony nomination). She also took over leads in 'Chicago', 'A Chorus Line', and 'Sweet Charity'. She appeared in Fosse's semi-autobiographical film All That Jazz, as well as the films Annie and Micki and Maude.
