Tony Nominations Committee Announces Eligibility for Slew of Fall Shows

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the second time to decide the eligibility of nine Broadway productions for the 2009 American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and The American Theatre Wing.

James Barbour will be considered in the Leading Actor in a Musical category for his performance in A Tale of Two Cities.

Mackenzie Crook will be considered in the Featured Actor in a Play category for his role in The Seagull.

Graham Phillips will be considered in the Leading Actor in a Musical category for his role in 13.

Jan Maxwell and David Rasche will be considered in the Leading Actress and Actor in a Play categories for their roles in To Be Or Not To Be.

Katie Holmes and Patrick Wilson will be considered in the Featured Actress and Actor in a Play categories for their roles in All My Sons.

Elisabeth Moss will be considered in the Featured Actress in a Play category for her role in Speed-The-Plow.

All other decisions were consistent with the opening night credits.

This is the second time the Tony Awards Administration Committee has met this year. It will meet three more times to discuss the eligibility of shows opening in the 2008-2009 season. The cut-off date for eligibility is April 30, 2009.

The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 7, 2009.
