Tony Yazbeck Replaces Joshua Henry with the New York Pops at Feinstein's/54 Below

On September 19, 2016, The New York Pops will return to Feinstein's/54 Below in Manhattan, NY, for a cabaret performance starring Tony nominees Montego Glover and Tony Yazbeck. Yazbeck replaces the previously announced Joshua Henry.

The night will be an intimate evening of dining and entertainment led by Music Director Steven Reineke as two of Broadway's most talented stars perform some of their favorite tunes.

"The New York Pops annual cabaret evening is one of our most intimate and exciting events each year," said Music Director Steven Reineke. "The event raises money for our vital music education programs, which reach thousands of New York City children each year. Montego and Tony are both extremely talented (and busy) performers, and they are extraordinarily kind and generous people. We are all looking forward to hearing them perform up-close and personal. This is going to be a tremendous night."

All proceeds will support The New York Pops' PopsEd music programs, which reach over 4,000 New York City students each year.

Steven Reineke is the Music Director and Conductor of The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, Principal Pops Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Principal Pops Conductor of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Principal Pops Conductor Designate of the Houston Symphony, beginning in the 2017-2018 season. Mr. Reineke is a frequent guest conductor with The Philadelphia Orchestra and has been on the podium with the Boston Pops, The Cleveland Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at Ravinia. His extensive North American conducting appearances include San Francisco, Houston, Seattle, Edmonton and Pittsburgh.

Montego Glover just completed starring to critical acclaim in The Royale at Lincoln Center Theater after starring on Broadway in the award winning revival of LES MISERABLES as Fantine. Glover is a Tony Award Nominee, two-time Drama Desk Award Winner, Outer Critics Circle Award Winner, and Drama League Award Nominee for originating the role of Felicia Farrell in the Tony-winning Best Musical Memphis. Tony Yazbeck most recently starred in the Broadway production of Finding Neverland. He also starred in the Susan Stroman- and Harold Prince-helmed Prince of Broadway in Japan and the Broadway revival of On the Town, for which he won the coveted Astaire Award. He was also nominated for Tony, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Awards for his virtuosic performance. Yazbeck's other Broadway credits include: Chicago (Billy Flynn), Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Phil Davis), Gypsy opposite Patti LuPone (Tulsa; Outer Critics Circle nomination), A Chorus Line (Al), Oklahoma!, Never Gonna Dance, and Gypsy with Tyne Daly. Off-Broadway, Yazbeck has starred in Fanny Hill (at the York). For City Center Encores!, Yazbeck has appeared in Little Me, On the Town, Gypsy, The Apple Tree, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and Pardon My English. Regional credits include Alliance, Barrington, Williamstown, Hartford Stage, Goodman, St. Louis MUNY, Goodspeed (Connecticut Critics Circle Award), Signature (Helen Hayes Award), Trinity Rep, Paper Mill, and Old Globe. Last year, Yazbeck was seen internationally in Kiss Me, Kate at the Royal Albert Hall in London. TV/Film credits include NBC's Smash and the feature documentary Every Little Step. Tony also stars in his own song and dance show, The Floor Above Me, which was just released digitally and on CD by P.S. Classics.
