Goodspeed Musicals, the first theatre in the nation to receive two Tony Awards, is happy to announce the cast of My One And Only. This tap-tastic musical from the director who brought you Goodspeed's Singin' in the Rain and 42nd Street will run from April 15 - June 25 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. This production will be sponsored by Bank of America and Amica.
‘S Wonderful! ‘S Marvelous! The glamorous ‘20s come roaring back to life when a barnstorming aviator falls for a bathing beauty. Their romantic pursuit is sidetracked by a series of zany escapades but together they navigate their way to a happy ending. This tap dance spectacular with an incomparable Gershwin score - "'S Wonderful," "Funny Face," "Kickin' The Clouds Away" and more - will have you floating on air.

Broadway veteran
Tony Yazbeck will play love-struck aviator, Captain Billy Buck Chandler. Mr. Yazbeck made his Broadway debut in Gypsy with
Tyne Daly. Other Broadway credits include
Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Gypsy with
Patti LuPone, A Chorus Line, Never Gonna Dance, and Oklahoma!. Edythe Herbert will be played by
Gabrielle Ruiz who appeared in Broadway's In the Heights.
Prince Nicolai will be played by
Khris Lewin. The role of Mickey will be played by
Kirsten Wyatt of Broadway's Elf; Grease; High Fidelity; Urinetown; andYou're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Ms. Wyatt was also seen in Goodspeed's The Boy Friend. Reverend J.D. Montgomery will be played by
Trent Armand Kendall who performed in the Broadway revival of Into the Woods and in Goodspeed's Li'l Abner. Mr. Magix will be played by
Alde Lewis, Jr. of Broadway's Big Deal and My One And Only.
The New Rhythm Boys will be played by Victor
J. Wisehart and Michael Ramey. Vasthy E. Mompoint of Broadway's Mary Poppins,
Hot Feet, and Good Vibrations will play New Rhythm Girl.
The ensemble will include Nancy Renee Braun (Broadway's Gypsy with
Patti LuPone),

Matthew Kilgore (Broadway's

Kristen J. Smith. The swings will be Dan Gleason and Laurie Veldheer.
My One And Only will be directed by
Ray Roderick who returns to Goodspeed where he directed 42nd Street, Singin' in the Rain, and Double Trouble at The
Norma Terris Theatre. Mr. Roderick co-conceived, Directed and Choreographed the National Tour of
Irving Berlin's I Love a Piano. His other credits include Associate Director of the 2001 Broadway revival of The Music Man and A Christmas Carol at
Madison Square Garden. Choreographer for this production will be
Kelli Barclay who will return to Goodspeed after choreographing last year's How to Succeed... Ms. Barclay's Broadway credits include Assistant Choreographer on the revival of 42nd Street and Associate Choreographer of
Irving Berlin's White Christmas.
Scenic designs will be by
James Youmans whose designs have been seen on Broadway in Come Fly Away, West Side Story, Gypsy, and Swinging on a Star. Mr. Youmans has also acted as scenic designer for such Goodspeed favorites as Summer of '42, Paper Moon, Finian's Rainbow, and King of Hearts, and Captain's Courageous at The
Norma Terris Theatre. Costumes will be designed by
Robin McGee who was the costume designer for Broadway's As Long As We Both Shall Laugh. Lighting design will be by
Paul Miller whose numerous Broadway credits include Assistant Lighting Designer for Macbeth, Lighting Designer for Legally Blonde, and Associate Lighting Designer for Company, Three Days of Rain, and Sweeney Todd. Projection designs will be by
Michael Clark who served as Projection Designer for Broadway's Ring of Fire; Jersey Boys; Dracula, the Musical; and The Elephant Man . Sound design will be by Jay Hilton who is in his 26th season at Goodspeed.
The Music Director for My One And Only is
Michael O'Flaherty who is in his 20th season as Goodspeed's Resident Music Director.
William J. Thomas is assistant music director. Orchestrations will be provided by
Dan DeLange, who provided the orchestrations for
Goodspeed Musicals' How To Succeed..., Carnival!,

My One And Only will run April 15 through June 25, 2011 [Official Press Opening May 11, 2011]. Curtain times are Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Thursday at 7:30 p.m. (with select performances at 2:00 p.m.), Friday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (with select performances at 6:30 p.m.).
