Tony Award winner John Lloyd Young recently spoke to The Press Republican about his new film, "Oy Vey! My Son Is Gay!" In the new comedy, Young portrays a young gay man, the title role, and stars opposite Jai Rodriguez. The film will have its world premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival August 29, 2009.

"It's a really sweet mainstream comedy," Young said of "Oy Vey!" "The director was very concerned with presenting a story about love and not about sex. It's about love between two people and parents adjusting to something they didn't expect. What really prevails in this movie is a family's love for one another and eventually acceptance of each other. That kind of film will really resonate."

"Oy Vey! My Son is Gay!!" was honored with Best Script awards from the 41st Houston World Festival and the Monaco Film Festival.
