Tony winner Steve Kazee (for Broadway's Once) is joining ABC's military-themed medical pilot 'Warriors' as the husband of Morena Baccarin's character. The one-hour drama, from Party of Five's Christopher Keyser, centers around the doctors and nurses at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center who treat returning soldiers.
Kazee will play Clay, husband to Tory (Baccarin) and the father of their daughter Jo. Clay and Tory share a wonderful relationship, and he's very patient with her need to adjust after she returns from a nine-month tour of Afghanistan. However, Clay knows her well and he understands that there's something she's not telling him.
The Warriors ensemble also includes Courtney B. Vance (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) and Eloise Mumford (The River). Keyser penned the script and will serve as an EP alongside David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks.
Kazee's recent TV credits include guest stints on Drop Dead Diva and Elementary.
