According to The Hollywood Reporter, two-time Tony nominee Stark Sands has signed on to star in FOX's MINORITY REPORT pilot.
From Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television and GODZILLA writer Max Borenstein, MINORITY REPORT is based on a 2002 Spielberg film of the same name, which starred Tom Cruise. Set 10 years from the end of Precrime in Washington, D.C., a Precog attempts to start a regular life as a human. However, his future keeps coming to haunt him. He then meets a detective (Meagan Good) who is troubled by her past but may be the answer to his ultimate question: "What is the purpose of my gift?"
Sands will play "the dual role of identical twin brothers Dash and Arthur, who both possess the unique ability to see into the future, specifically murders before they happen." Michael and Matthew Dickman played the twins in the 2002 movie.
Also in the cast are Daniel London as Wally the Caretaker, Li Jun Li as Akeela -- a Crime Scene Investigation technician -- and Laura Regan."
Mark Mylod will direct the project. Among his past credits are ABC's ONCE UPON A TIME pilot, as well as the pilot of Golden Globe-winner THE AFFAIR for Showtime. Borenstein and Falls are executive producing alongside Amblin TV's Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.
Sands recently starred on the big screen in INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS. Among his TV credits are NYC 22, GENERATION KILL, NIP/TUCK, HOPE & FAITH, LOST AT HOME and more. The actor last appeared on Broadway in Kinky Boots, for which he was nominated for a 2013 Tony Award. Among his other stage credits are AMERICAN IDIOT and JOURNEY'S END (which earned him another Tony nod).
