Tony and Obie Award-winning playwright and performer Sarah Jones presents an exclusive first-look production of her latest full-length performance piece SELL/BUY/DATE at New York Live Arts for 12 performances only as part of New York Live Arts' annual Live Artery season. This dynamic multi-character, one-person play is inspired by stories of people, especially women and girls, directly impacted by sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
SELL/BUY/DATE will be presented tonight, January 6, through January 10, January 12-16, 2016 at 7:30pm and January 9 and 15, 2016 at 2pm. Written and performed by

Carolyn Cantor. Post-show talks with the artist and special guests will follow select performances. The presentation is not open for review.
Additional Live Artery performances include the US premiere of Ann Liv Young's ELEKTRA, co-directed with
Annie Dorsen, a first-look presentation of Resident Commissioned Artist
Okwui Okpokwasili's POOR PEOPLE'S TV ROOM, and additional studio presentations from over 20 artists from Live Arts' unparalleled new work development programs to be announced in late November.
This workshop production is presented by special arrangement with Manhattan Theatre Club. SELL/BUY/DATE is commissioned by The Novo Foundation and was developed in part at the 2015 Sundance Institute Theatre Lab at The Sundance Resort.

Culture Project. Jones is also known for her activism, including her role as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador performing for audiences around the world, and raising awareness of issues including ethnic,
racial, and economic disparities in the U.S. She is also known for her popular multi-character TED Talks given at the annual TED Conference which have millions of views, and performances in venues ranging from the White House to the World Economic Forum in Davos. In addition to her work on SELL/BUY/DATE, she is currently developing multimedia projects based on her characters.
Carolyn Cantor is a New York based director who works primarily on developing new work for the stage. Her work has been seen at regional theaters throughout the country and in New York at theaters including Manhattan Theatre Club,
Playwrights Horizons,
Second Stage, MCC,
Primary Stages, the Vineyard and
Ars Nova. She has received the
Joe Callaway Award, the Kanin-Seldes Award from the Theatre Hall of Fame, the Boris Sagal and Bill Foeller Fellowships from Williamstown, and a Drama League Directing Fellowship.
Antonia Grilikhes-Lasky, dramaturg, worked at the Public Theater and as a theater director in New York before receiving her MFA in Screenwriting from Columbia University's School of the Arts. A native New Yorker, she has been the recipient of numerous fellowships, taught screenwriting, produced and directed several award-winning shorts, and curated Columbia's film series. She works as a dramaturg and script consultant to writer
