Community League of the Heights (CLOTH) – a Washington Heights-based multi-service not-for-profit community development corporation marks their 60th anniversary with a benefit event on Monday, October 15th at the Low Memorial Library (535 W. 116th Street) on the campus of Columbia University in New York City.
Scheduled to begin at 6:00pm with a VIP reception, the benefit which is themed "Building History" will honor such notables as: the Honorable U.S. Congressman Charles B. Rangel, Honorable N.Y.S. Assemblyman Herman "Denny" Farrell. Jr, Mark Reed, Founder of Contact Group and Principal of Alembic Community Development, Jilly Stephens, Executive Director of City Harvest and Tony winning actor, writer and director, Ruben Santiago-Hudson. Incorporated in 1952, CLOTH has been dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life for residents of the Southern Washington Heights area through advocacy, organizing and providing of services related to decent affordable housing, education, health, youth services and neighborhood improvement.Videos
