Tony Award® winner Randy Graff (City of Angels, Les Miserables) has announced the launch of her new acting program, ACTING THE SONG, a private coaching series designed to teach singers, dancers and non-singing actors how to best express the meaning of a song. The coaching will also focus on guiding performers in a practical way through the audition process.
Randy Graff explained her goal in creating the private coaching program, "There are a lot of great voices in New York. However, I believe it's the great singer who really acts the lyric that gets noticed. I was fortunate enough to learn this technique very early on, and now I would like to pass it on. This coaching is about how to approach a song as an actor."Randy Graff won a Tony and Drama Desk Award for her performance in City of Angels. Her other Broadway credits include the recent revival of Fiddler on the Roof (Outer Critics Circle and Drama League nominations), A Class Act (Tony and Drama Desk Nominations), High Society, Falsettos, Laughter On The 23rd Floor, Moon Over Buffalo, and originating the role of "Fantine" in Les Miserables (Helen Hayes nomination.)Ms. Graff was recently seen as "Meg" in Damn Yankees for City Center Encores! Summer Stars. Also for Encores! she co-starred with Nathan Lane in Do Re Mi. Off-Broadway appearances include The Long Christmas Ride Home (Drama League nomination), A ...
