The Best of Broadway & Cabaret will come out in support of the Actors' Temple, (est. 1917) on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 6:45 PM.  The Third Annual Concert will take place at the Temple, 339 West 47th Street.  This theater district historic landmark has been struggling to survive in recent years.

Performers donating their time and talent include: Douglas J. Cohen, Jamie deRoy, Shana Farr, Tom Gamblin, Jackie Hoffman, Paul Katz, Richard Kind, Alice Levine, Dana Lorge, Marilyn Michaels, Sidney Myer, Jill O'Hara, Tony Roberts, Johnny Rodgers, Tony Sheldon, KT Sullivan, Deborah Tranelli, and Sal VivianoPaul Chamlin will musical direct.  Producer Randie Levine-Miller will also host.

According to Randie, "Part of the sanctuary ceiling fell down just after Yom Kippur, 2011.  Last year's fundraiser helped pay for those repairs."

In the old days, Actors' Temple member, Sophie Tucker would get The Shuberts to donate a theater & she would produce an annual show.  The money raised would help pay for the temple's yearly expenses.  "Now they just have me to gather my theater and cabaret performer friends.  It's always a swell party, as well as a mitzvah!"
