Baritone Tony Richards will follow his New York debut at Danny's last year with one cabaret night at the Triad, Sunday, April 15th at 9PM. Richards, who began his career as a singer on tour with members of the Lawrence Welk Orchestra, will be accompanied by David Gross on the piano in his new show, "Tony Richards – The Glory of Love."
Richards has also taken on leading roles with the New York City Opera and played Raoul in the Toronto production of
Phantom of the Opera, opposite
Colm Wilkinson. He also played Judd in the West Coast revival of
Oklahoma, where he received rave reviews for his ability to "take Judd beyond the stereotype of a brooding loner using his powerful voice to eerie advantage," state press notes.
His show at the Triad will be a tribute to some of his favorite singers, including Johnny Hartman, Arthur Prysock, Vic Damone & Bobby Darin.
Tony Richards will perform for one night only, Sunday, April 15th at 9PM. The Triad Theatre is at 158 W 72nd St, and there is a $15 music charge/two drink minimum. For reservations, call (212) 362-2511. For more information about Tony Richards, visit
