Tony Nominee Patrick Wilson Joins Rose Byrne for 'Insidious' Film

Production Weekly reports that Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actor Patrick Wilson will star alongside Rose Byrne in the upcoming movie Insidious directed by James Wan.

The movie is said to be about a "haunted house with a twist. The plot line revolves around a "young family that makes the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose boy has become a magnet for malevolent entities, while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further."

No further casting or production details have been announced at this time.

Patrick Wilson has received 2 Tony Award Nominations, one for THE FULL MONTY and one for OKLAHOMA! His most recent Broadway appearance was in ALL MY SONS. He has also receive an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for HBO's adaptation of ANGELS IN AMERICA and also starred in the recent film adaptation of WATCHMEN.

Australian screen star Rose Byrne has been seen in 28 Weeks Later, Troy, Sunshine, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Knowing and Marie Antoinette. She is perhaps best-known for her ongoing role of Ellen Parsons in the US television series Damages.
