Direct from Ireland, celebrated Irish Singer and Entertainer, Tony Kenny will bring his program, "Celtic Nights", a celebration of Irish music, comedy, song and dance to Queensborough Community College on Friday, March 26.

Tony Kenny is an icon in the world of Irish music, having added three of the Irish music industry's most prestigious awards to his resume: the "Performing Artists Trust Society Annual Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Performing Arts," Ireland's 1998 "Entertainer of the Year" and "Ireland's Industry Music Hall of Fame Award," received in October of 2008.

He began his career as the star of the internationally acclaimed stage musicals, "JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.

After receiving awards for his stage and television performances, he turned his beautiful voice and theatrical talent to the world of Irish music when he joined the cast of the world famous Jury's Irish Cabaret in Dublin.

This show at Jury's Hotel won Ireland's National Entertainment Awards "Show of the Year" honors. Tony Kenny tours have played to over 2 million people worldwide.

As a recording artist, he has achieved phenomenal success. His recordings have been enjoyed on both sides of the Atlantic. His release of "The Very Best of Tony Kenny's Ireland" achieved Platinum Disc status.

He is joined by Ireland's Funniest Man, Joe Cuddy and the Dublin City Dancers to bring the best of Irish entertainment to your city in celebration of Ireland's favorite holiday, St. Patrick's Day.
