Tony & Emmy Winning Scenic Designer Derek McLane Wins ADG Award for 2015 OSCARS

The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) last night announced winners of its 20th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, in 11 categories of film, television, commercials and music videos, during a ceremony at The Beverly Hilton. Tony and Emmy Award-winning scenic designer DEREK McLANE was honored for Excellence in Production Design in Television (Awards or Special Event category) for his work on "The Oscars: 2015." McLane was also nominated for his work on "The Wiz! Live" (2015), was previously nominated for "Peter Pan Live" (2014) and is a recipient of the 2015 ADG award for "The Oscars: 2014."

McLane is currently represented with Beautiful: The Carole King Musical on Broadway and in the West End; Roundabout Theatre Company's production Noises Off; Her Requiem (Off-Broadway, Lincoln Center); Sam Shepherd's Buried Child (Off-Broadway, Signature Theatre); the forthcoming Broadway production of Fully Committed (starring Jesse Tyler Ferguson), the HBO documentary, "Becoming Mike Nichols" (premieres February 22, 2016) and the European tour, Hans Zimmer Revealed.

The Art Directors Guild took place before an audience of more than 900, including guild members, industry executives and press. ADG President Nelson Coates and Art Directors Council Chair Marcia Hinds presided over the awards ceremony with comedian Owen Benjamin serving as host.
