Tony Award-Winner Phylicia Rashad Joins 'OSAGE' 5/26

August: Osage County, which, on Friday, May 22nd, surpassed The Heidi Chronicles in the list of Broadway's longest running plays, welcomes Tony Award-winner Phylicia Rashad to The Cast tonight, Tuesday, May 26th. Ms. Rashad will star as Violet Weston.

The former 'Violet', Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons, departed the drama on Sunday, May 17th after an acclaimed run in the role. She will repeat her success on the National Tour.

Ms. Rashad will be performing in a strictly limited engagement through SUNDAY, AUGUST 23rd.

Perhaps most widely recognized as Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show, Phylicia Rashad is a remarkably diversified talent. She has starred in Broadway's Into the Woods, Dreamgirls, and The Wiz, among others, and most recently won a Tony Award for the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun.

The winner of five 2008 Tony Awards as well as the 2008 Pulitzer Prize, August: Osage County currently stars Elizabeth Ashley as Mattie Fae Aiken, with Anne Berkowitz, Guy Boyd, John Cullum, JohAnna Day, Kimberly Guerrero, Brian Kerwin, Mariann Mayberry, Michael Milligan, Sally Murphy, Troy West, and Frank Wood.
