Tommy Tune will bring his show STEPS IN TIME to New York City in a one-night benefit for Friends In Deed, according to Variety.

Tune and the Manhattan Rhythm Kings will perform the autobigraphical show September 21 at John Jay College.

In STEPS IN TIME, Tommy Tune and the Manhattan Rhythm Kings present great Broadway show tunes performed and staged as only Broadway's most awarded Director, Choreographer, Dancer and Musical Actor can create, according to press notes.

Over the course of a luminous 50-year career, performer/director/choreographer and Theatre Hall of Fame member Tommy Tune has won nine Tony Awards, eight Drama Desk Awards, two Obie Awards, two Astaire Awards, the American Dance Award, the Drama League Award, the George Abbott Award for Lifetime Achievement, the National Medal of Arts, and the upcoming Fred and Adele Astaire Lifetime Achievement Award and Actor's Fund Julie Harris Award for Lifetime Achievement, Tune is the most honored star in Broadway history.
