Tom Paley played with
Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly and was a co-founder of the New Lost City Ramblers with Mike Seeger John Cohen. Paley has serious Folk credibility!

The elder Paley is a multi-instrumentalist, and a true master of the banjo. A folk revivalist of the first order, Tom influenced scores of younger musicians, including
Bob Dylan.
Son, Ben, is a wizard on the fiddle playing Swedish fiddle as well as American Old Time music. He authored Swedish Fiddle Music: An Anthology, the standard work on the subject in English.
