Todd Murray celebrates the release of his new CD Stardust & Swing with two special performance at one of Manhattan's premier clubs The Metropolitan Room, 34 W. 22nd Street, in New York on Wednesday, February 18th and Friday, February 20th, at 9:45m. There is a $20.00 cover charge and two-beverage minimum ($10.00 for MAC and Cabaret Hotline members). Due to the high demand for this special event, reservations are highly recommended by calling 212-206-0440. You can also visit metropolitanroom.com or toddmurray.com for further information.

This marks Murray's return to the Metropolitan Room following his highly praised debut at the club in 2008, with noted New York critic Michael Portantiere exclaiming "Todd Murray offers one of the smoothest, most romantic cabaret/nightclub shows imaginable." You will snap and swoon as he swings and croons his way through the American songbook, original material and contemporary music. Todd will be performing songs from his new CD release Stardust & Swing where he romances classics from Dream A Little Dream of Me, I Wanna Be Around to the stellar Stardust, showing as Backstage Magazine says, his ability to be "a silky crooner from the dreamy school of emoting."

Murray will also showcase his abilities as a songwriter, ripping through a blazing-hot big band number The Girl from Waco and another Murray original When I Sing Low, which was the title track from his debut CD. The acclaimed recording was named one of the "Ten Best Vocal Albums of The Year" by Talkin' Broadway and featured renowned Capital Records jazz vocalist Sue Raney.

His new CD was recorded at Capitol Records historic Studio A, and with lush brass and string arrangements, Todd captures the same magic that Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee and Rosemary Clooney created there many years before. Two other standout tracks on the CD include duets with the one and only legendary RCA vocalist Marilyn Maye (Teach Me Tonight) and Tony Award nominee Douglas Sills (If I Ruled The World). The CD is available The release is available online at toddmurray.com, cdbaby.com, amazon.com and iTunes. It will also be available at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Center Square, 1972 Broadway, where Murray will be performing a special free in-store concert with pianist Tedd Firth and Doug Largent (bass) on Wednesday, February 11 at 6pm. Todd will be signing CDs afterwards.

He has performed across the country to critical and audience acclaim including New York's Jazz At Lincoln Center. His acclaimed debut one-man show, Let's Face the Music, premiered at Hollywood's Feinstein's at the Cinegrill, with the L. A. Weekly raving "he pulls us in with a glorious baritone and takes us on a delightful journey through both classic and contemporary songs."

Todd Murray's smooth, baritone voice can woo and wow an audience and send them away with a swing in their step. Stardust & Swing is the perfect showcase for the vast talents of Todd Murray and he proves, as Frontiers Magazine says, to be "a crooner with a great set of chops and the sensibilities of his legendary predecessors."
