Actor-singer-songwriter Tituss Burgess, recently seen as the Cowardly Lion in Des Macnuffs re-imagining of The Wiz, will be featured in the March 12 Artcents Benefit Concert at The Triad in Manhattan. The concert series, sponsored by ASTEP (Artists Striving To End Poverty), usually seeks to expose emerging songwriters, but this time out rock and pop covers will be performed. The price of admission is a jar of change — to help bring change to the lives of kids in need.

Joining Burgess will be guest appearances by Marty Thomas (Wicked, Secret Garden), and Cassondra Kellam. Burgess will be backed by a 7 peice band and the evening will be musically directed by Mary-Mitchell Campbell ( Company music supervisor/orchestrator).

Burgess most recently appeared on Broadway in the original casts of Jersey Boys and Good Vibrations. He has also released a solo CD called Here's to You which is available on Itunes and Cdbaby.com. For more information visit www.titussburgess.com.

The concert begins at 7 PM. There is also a two-drink minimum. The Triad is on New York's Upper West Side at 158 W. 72nd St.

Reservations can be made by calling (212) 706-1516 or by sending an email to tickets@createsomethinggood.org.

All proceeds from the concert benefit ASTEP. Visit www.createsomethinggood.org to learn more.
