The September-October public programming schedule at the Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust has been announced. Highlights this season include An Evening in Honor of Philip Loeb which will be a fitting tribute to the blacklisted Goldbergs actor on September 1, the 55th anniversary of his death.

Just in time for the peak of baseball season, the Museum will present a screening and discussion of the lively documentary Jews and Baseball: An American Love Story on September 26.

On October 13, curator Dr. Louis D. Levine will offer a behind-the-scenes talk about the new exhibition, Fire in My Heart: The Story of Hannah Senesh.

The Museum welcomes handbag designer extraordinaire Judith Leiber and her artist husband Gerson Leiber for a discussion of their book No Mere Bagatelles on October 18.

Families of all ages will enjoy Shabbat Shaboom, a high-energy concert featuring the Mama Doni band on October 24.

The season comes to a close on October 27 with a discussion about Mah Jongg as Muse moderated by New York magazine design editor Wendy Goodman and featuring exhibition designer Abbot Miller and curator Melissa Martens.

The Museum's three-floor Core Exhibition educates people of all ages and backgrounds about the rich tapestry of Jewish life over the past century-before, during, and after the Holocaust. Special exhibitions include The Morgenthaus: A Legacy of Service, on view through December 2010 and Project Mah Jongg, on view through January 2011. Fire in My Heart: The Story of Hannah Senesh opens October 13.
