Visit Longhouse Projects today, May 11th from 4-6 pm for a poetry reading by Tim Terhaar and Keri Judd, organized by Mika Gellman.

Taking cues from the visual art world and digital media, many contemporary poets are moving towards different models of sourcing and arranging language. Terhaar and Judd seamlessly integrate references to critical theory, politics, and art and literature with Internet memes and current events to create poetic texts that critique and react to the world around them.

Tim Terhaar holds a PA in computer pseudoscience and a CP in general anxiety from Underacademy College, as well as a BA in philosophy from Brown University. His poems have been published in The Capilano Review and PELT. His video Shed No Light played at Wild Project as part of a Conveyor Magazine film program. He has a paper in The Journal for Critical Animal Studies. He also writes film reviews for Tiny Mix Tapes. Finally, he blogs about vegan home cooking: http://vegetalvoracity.blogspot.com/.

Keri Judd is a recent graduate of NYU's creative writing program. He is a poet, currently residing in Brooklyn, NY.
