Temple, a new play by Tim Aumiller and directed by Greg Foro, will run at Manhattan Theatre Source (177 MacDougal Street, between W. 8th St. and Waverly) from February 22nd through March 11th.
Temple "imagines an America in the near future where laws are being made and upheld in the Courts that are born out of religious ideology, dividing the country based on sexuality and freedom. What if the decisions being handed down suddenly ostracized a whole segment of the population, eliminating personal freedoms and requiring citizens to register their lifestyle into a national database? What would happen if a band of revolutionaries gave pause to the rule of law and united in an ultimate act of civil disobedience that would change America forever?," state press notes.
Temple is associate produced by James McNeel, John Ort and Working For Tips Productions (WFTP). The cast will feature Audrey Amey, Tom Baran, Phil Burke*, Tom Macy, Lesley Miller, David Rudd* and Joshua Seidner (* appears courtesy of Actors Equity).
Bridge Club Productions is committed to advancing the work of emerging artists. Most recently BCP developed and produced [title of show], by Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen, which debuts at the Vineyard Theater in February 2006. Other successful productions include Shrinkage, by Manny Igrejas and Electra Speaks, by Laura Camien as well as Aumiller's tapping the soul and relief.
