You can now get your tickets for the world premiere of SCORCHED, an original musical that reimagines what it means to seek a happy ending, debuting October 6-9 at the American Theatre of Actors.
Spearheaded by a group of young theater makers who first discovered their mutual passion for bringing new work to life as undergraduates at Yale, over 30 performers, designers, producers, musicians, and creatives - for many of whom SCORCHED marks their New York debut - have collaborated to craft an inventive new fairy tale for 2016 that celebrates different and embraces the power of storytelling.
SCORCHED debuts with 6 other new works as part of the Araca Project, which provides invaluable support and guidance to young artists and entrepreneurs as they embrace the challenge of launching a theatrical production in New York. Running from October 6 - November 19, seven bold new works that challenge identities, tradition, and theater itself will burst onto the
New York Theater scene this fall.

The Araca Project is an initiative of
The Araca Group (producers of Urinetown, Wicked, A View From the Bridge) to foster young entrepreneurs from
Syracuse University, University of Michigan, Florida State University, Yale University, and
Northwestern University.
The Araca Project endeavors to embolden these artists to recognize the power of the entrepreneurial spirit in shaping one's artistic destiny. After pitching projects in April, selected participants spent a week of June in a producing intensive program in NYC to prepare for productions in the fall.
