A visually splendorous stateside transfer of a recent production of William Shakespeare's classic comedy A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM created by noted War Horse theatrical collaborators Bristol Old Vic and Handspring Puppet Company, directed by Tom Morris, will be presented next year for a limited run at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and tickets are now on sale.

The official description of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at the Kennedy Center is as follows: "The acclaimed collaborators of War Horse reunite for an "eerily beautiful...irresistibly funny" (The Times of London) new take on Shakespeare's comedy of love triangles, fairies, and kings. Through visionary staging, the young lovers are mirrored by their own puppet counterparts, mischievous fairy Puck is a shape-shifter extraordinaire, and found objects pulse, tingle, and come to life."

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM runs March 20 through 23, 2014, at the Eisenhower Theater in the Kennedy Center.
