Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story will extend its limited run at the York Theatre Company, with a new actor playing Nathan Leopold, who with Richard Loeb committed what was once considered the "crime of the century."  Composer Stephen Dolginoff will take over for Matt Bauer in the show, which will now close on July 10th instead of the previously-announced June 25th.

Bauer had a prior commitment, enabling Dolginoff to star in the taut musical, for which he wrote the book, music and lyrics.  Directed by Tony-winner Michael Rupert, Thrill Me opened on May 26th with Doug Kreeger as the Loeb to Bauer's Leopold.  The pre-recorded voices of John McMartin and Stephen Bogardus are also featured in the show; they play members of the Parole Board.  Eugene Gwozdz is the musical director for Thrill Me, while the creative team consists of James Morgan (sets), Thom Weaver (lighting) and Jennifer Paar (costume).

Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story, which premiered in 2003 as part of the Fourth Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York City, "recounts the chilling tale of the legendary duo who committed one of the most infamous and heinous crimes of the 20th century. Set in 1924 Chicago, it chronicles the events that led childhood friends Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb to forever be remembered as 'the thrill killers,'" according to production notes.

The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's is located at 619 Lexington Avenue with the entrance at 54th Street.

Thrill Me plays Monday through Thursday evenings at 8 PM, Friday and Saturday nights at 8:30 PM with matinees on Wednesdays at 2:30 PM and Saturdays at 5 PM. Tickets are $55, and can be purchased by calling (212) 868 4444 or by visiting www.smarttix.com.
