Earlier this week, the Dramatists Guild Fund hosted their Annual Gala at the Edison Ballroom in New York. This year's event honored legendary playwrights, composers, and lyricists who have impacted the American theater. Performers included Jeremy Jordan, Ben Vereen, and Norbert Leo Butz. This week, A TIME TO KILL officially opened on Broadway. The show is about a young, idealistic lawyer, Jake Brigance, defending a black man, Carl Lee Hailey, for taking the law into his own hands following an unspeakable crime committed against his young daughter. THE LANDING, John Kander's first production since the passing of Fred Ebb in 2004, premiered this week. THE LANDING is a series of three one acts in one night all with the same general theme. The show will have it's London premiere later this year. For more pictures from opening night, click here.

Tim Rice's FROM HERE TO ETERNITY opened this week on the West End, a show about World War II. FROM HERE TO ETERNITY shows the love story of two couples and the consequences war can have. For more pictures from opening night, click here.

Manhattan Theatre Club and MCC Theater's world premiere of Sharr White's The Snow Geese, opened this week. This strictly limited 11 week engagement began previews on Tuesday, October 1, and opened on October 24th. The show stars Mary Louise-Parker, Danny Burstein, and Victoria Clark. The show follows a mother as she learns her eldest son is to be deported and her youngest son finds out secrets of the family. For more pictures of opening night, click here.
