BroadwayWorld's own Walter McBride was stationed on the red carpet for this year's Tony Awards and captured shots of the night's biggest stars. Audra McDonald won a record-breaking sixth Tony Award for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill." Click here for more coverage of the awards!

The 68th Annual Tony Awards were held this past Sunday, June 8th, at Radio City Music Hall, and BroadwayWorld was in the winners' room to capture all of the action. The original musical "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" as well as the revival "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" were the top winners of the evening with four awards each. Grammy-winning legend Patti LaBelle was warmly welcomed to the company of the Tony Award-winning musical revue "After Midnight" this week. LaBelle will take over the role of "Special Guest Star," a role that has previously been performed by Toni Braxton, Fantasia Barrino, Vanessa Williams, and k.d. Lang. This week, the Booth Theatre was adorned with the Theatre Marquee for this fall's Broadway production of "The Elephant Man." Written by Bernard Pomerance, the play will star two time Academy-Award nominee Bradley Cooper, Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson, and Alessandro Nivola in a limited thirteen-week engagement. This week, the cast and crew of this year's musical adaptation of "Rocky" celebrated their 100th performance on Broadway! They celebrated with a very appropriately-decorated cake from Carlo's Bakery. Just last weekend, the production won a Tony Award for Best Lighting Design. Click here for more coverage of this event!

Michael Urie, the original star of the Off-Broadway production of "Buyer and Cellar," as well as the current star of the show's national tour, celebrated his 400th performance in the role this week. A week from today, the film adaptation of the 2005 hit musical "Jersey Boys" will hit the theatres. "Jersey Boys" tells the backstory of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and how they became to be who they did. This Monday, the Angelo Gelasso House at the Plaza hosted a screening of the film. The Public Theatre's Shakespeare in the Park production of "Much Ado About Nothing" began performances last week, with an official press scheduled for this Monday. The production will run through the summer and is free to the public. Click here to see more photos from the first look at this production!

Yesterday, the cast and creative team of this year's original musical "If/Then" stopped by the Madison Avenue Sony store to celebrate the release of their new cast album. The music is written by the Tony Award-winning composers of the 2009 hit "Next to Normal," Brian Yorke and Tom Kitt. The star-studded cast includes "Rent" stars Idina Menzel and Anthony Rapp, as well as LaChanze and James Snyder. Click here to see more coverage of this special event!
