Third Rail Projects, currently represented in New York with the long-running hit THEN SHE FELL and their critically acclaimed new work THE GRAND PARADISE, announce a trio of new projects for 2016.

March 25 - 27
GLOBAL PERFORMANCE STUDIO (GPS)
Ziferblat Time Café in St. Petersburg, Russia
Third Rail Projects is proud to announce its newest program, Third Rail International, which will house the Global Performance Studio (GPS). Led by Tom Pearson, Co-Artistic Director of Third Rail Projects, GPS supports the development of international site-specific and immersive performance, and cultivates opportunities for artists to become leaders of diplomacy through shared practice, dialogue, collaboration, and community building. Third Rail International with CEC Artslink presents the first official project of the Global Performance Studio in St. Petersburg, Russia with a new performance for the Ziferblat Café, offering audiences an invitation into experiential encounters with performers and situations that unfold throughout the staircases, rooms and hallways. GPS seeks to connect the growing number of site-specific and immersive theater practitioners around the world, and to establish a global toolkit for shaping and supporting new works - from training performers to cultivating audiences and increasing responsive funding models. When each leg of the program concludes, GPS will leave behind these foundations for the use and development of the regional participants, encouraging continued collaboration as well as independent work among individual artists. SWEET & LUCKY
Denver Center for the Performing Arts
Led by Zach Morris, Co-Artistic Director of Third Rail Projects, "Sweet & Lucky" invites you to step into mysterious antique store and plunge into a labyrinth of dreamlike encounters. Audiences follow performers through intricately designed environments, into intimate engagements, and witness a series of seductive and haunting flashbacks. It's a 360-degree, multi-sensory experience, including cocktails custom designed by Williams and Graham's nationally recognized mixologist Sean Kenyon. "Sweet & Lucky" is a soft, stumbling last dance through a warehouse of memory. This collaboration with Denver Center for the Performing Arts marks Third Rail's first regional theater commission. July 22 - August 21
LEARNING CURVE
Albany Park Theater Project (APTP) in partnership with Goodman Theater, Chicago.
Led by Jennine Willett, Co-Artistic Director of Third Rail Projects, and David Feiner, Producing Artistic Director of Albany Park Theater Project, this theatrical journey places audiences within the walls of a Chicago public high school and in the shoes of its students. With each step, audience will experience the real-life triumphs and struggles of students, teachers and parents during the years that hopefully lead to a high school diploma. Led by a cast of 25 teenage performers, this is the first large-scale immersive theater production in the country featuring a youth ensemble. For more info, visit aptpchicago.org.

Third Rail Projects will also continue to present performances of THE GRAND PARADISE and THEN SHE FELL in New York City.

Now through March 31
THE GRAND PARADISE
383 Troutman Street at Wyckoff Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn
Set in those hazy and culturally liminal years of the late 1970s becoming the 1980s, the experience begins as are transported to a tropical resort that purports to be the home of the Fountain of Youth. Visitors to THE GRAND PARADISE encounter the resort's resident population, characters who embody the era's shifting and blurring values - a rogue's gallery of eccentrics, hustlers, eternal youths, gods, monsters, disco queens, and con men. Visitors are invited to explore the grounds and the beaches, watch a floorshow, quench their deepest longings, follow performers into one-on-one encounters, and trade their faded ideals for shiny new illusions. Ultimately, THE GRAND PARADISE offers a pas de deux of desire and death, a midlife crisis, and a coming of age at the resort of the eternally brokenhearted. Tickets and info at www.thegrandparadise.com.

Now through June 26
THEN SHE FELL
The Kingsland Ward at St. Johns, 195 Maujer Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Inspired by the life and writings of Lewis Carroll, 15 audience members at a time are offered an 'Alice-like' experience. Audience members are invited to explore a series of lushly designed rooms, often by themselves, in order to discover hidden scenes; encounter performers one-on-one; unearth clues that illuminate a shrouded history; use skeleton keys to gain access to guarded secrets; and imbibe custom designed elixirs. THEN SHE FELL evokes the inner, psychological landscapes of Lewis Carroll, Alice Liddell, and iconic characters from Carroll's texts. Every aspect of each audience member's experience has been meticulously crafted, from opulent environments to the smells, tastes, and objects, that they discover as they explore and unravel a narrative that balances dream, reality, fact, and fiction. Tickets and info at www.thenshefell.com.
