On November 5th, NYC choreographers, come together to showcase their work and celebrate Think Tank's one year anniversary at Think Tank - The Showcase. The night explores different styles, collaboration, and live vocals, as we dance to commemorate Think Tank's first anniversary!
Think Tank is a work shop based company created by Adam Wedesky (AcousticaElectronica, ArtsForAlz) and Taylor DeNapoli (West Side Story Orpheum Theatre, Wonderland Natl Tour), designed to be an open, positive, affordable environment in which the choreographer has an hour and a half to play with the dancers who walk in the room. "Think Tank is a safe place to escape from reality to create, learn, grow, explore and breathe," says Taylor, "every human needs their own safe haven, Think Tank has become mine." Adam and Taylor encourage the choreographers to bring in something they're workshopping and use their time in the space to flesh it out and create something new. "My favorite thing to watch is how the choreographer communicates their ideas to the dancers in the room," says Adam, "when they've come up with a story and it comes to life, its a magical moment." Throughout each class Adam and Taylor will film and edit a video together to commemorate the moment shared between mutual friends and artists. The Showcase will be featuring work by choreographers Billy Griffin (Mary Poppins, Young Frankenstein), Daniel Gold (Leg Up On Life), Brinda Guha (Soles of Duende, Wise Fruit), Taylor McMahon, Ross Thompson, Taylor Green, Jazzmine Szyndler, Becca Robinson, and Cara Leggio.
