Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the 2018 Audition Event, Combined Auditions presented with sponsorship from BackStage, Actors Connection, The PIT and Reprocutions.com on May 19 and 20 at The Peoples Improv Theater, 123 E 24th Street, NYC.

Singing Auditions will be held Saturday, May 19 10:30am - 6pm (monologues will also be required). Non-singing auditions will be held Saturday, May 19 10am - 11am and Sunday, May 20 10am - 6pm. Early Bird registration is open until April 7, 2018, and is $60 for non-TRU members ($45 for TRU members, or $125 for an Audition/Membership package). Standard Registration opens April 8th and closes May 7, 2018, and is $99 for non TRU members ($85 for AEA and TRU Members, or $180 for Audition/Membership package). Over 50 producers, theater companies, writers and directors will be sitting in on two days of auditions. Sign up to be seen by them, and by at least two top New York agents and/or casting directors*! Here is a list of who has already confirmed - check the TRU website for ongoing updates.

Confirmed industry as of 3/8/18: agents Albert Bramante (Emerging Artists) and Valerie Adami (SW Artists); agent/manager Deborah Dotoli of AAG Talent; casting directors Helene Galek (Helene Galek Casting), Jamibeth Margolis (Margolis Casting), Bob Kale (MKA Casting) and Tom Rowan of Tom Rowan Casting. Registration includes free or discounted access to both of these pre-event workshops designed to prepare actors to do their best audition possible:

- Meet the Coaches (plus Orientation)

- Sunday April 15th or 22nd (tbd), 1-5pm

- Audition Technique & Protocol (plus Orientation) with agent Valerie Adami and casting director Bob Kale

- Sunday May 6th

To apply: register and pay using the payment options on website at https://truonline.org/events/2018-audition-event/; then scan and email your application and headshot/resume to TRUStaff1@gmail.com -everything (payment, application, headshot, resume) must be received before an application is considered complete.

Secret: the first 80 submissions are automatically passed in and accepted. After that, only TRU members and Equity members are automatically accepted; non-member applications will be passed in after the final submission date of May 7th, subject to availability. If we do not have room for you, we will issue a check refund of your submission fee minus a $10 processing fee.

To be guaranteed a slot, purchase an early bird Membership/Audition Package for $125 before 4/7; or a standard Membership/Audition Package for $180 after 4/7. FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 7th (postmark); deadline may be extended if there are available slots. PAYMENT ALONE DOES NOT COUNT AS REGISTRATION.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is the leading network for developing theater professionals, a twenty-five year old 501c3 nonprofit organization created to help producers produce, emerging theater companies to emerge healthily and all theater professionals to understand and navigate the business of the arts.
