The world premiere production of David Hare's The Vertical Hour, starring Julianne Moore (Children of Men, The Hours) and Bill Nighy (Notes on a Scandal, Love Actually) will recoup its entire $2.6 million investment in just 12 1⁄2 weeks (as of the week ending March 4th).

Sam Mendes, began performances on November 9 and opened on November 30, 2006.
Setting the house record for the highest grossing week in the history of Broadway's Music Box Theatre early in its run,
The Vertical Hour promtly broke that record with a gross of $589,000 for the week ending November 26, 2006.
"The first
David Hare play ever to premiere on Broadway, The Vertical Hour tells the story of a Nadia Blye - an acclaimed American television journalist and academic - who travels abroad and finds herself caught in an emotionally charged romantic triangle, pulled between the affections of her lover and lover's father," state press notes.
Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
