The Tragedy of Abraham Lincoln Runs Off-Bway Through May 7

The Tragedy of Abraham Lincoln, by M. Stefan Strozier, will play the Where Eagles Dare Theatre (347 West 36th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues, on the 12th floor) from April 13th through May 7th.

Directed by Alan Kanevsky, the play is a dramatic retelling of the last year of the life of America's 16th president.  It will star Justin Ellis as Lincoln, William J. Growney as Edwin Booth, Aaron Sandler as John Surratt, Josh Stamell as John Wilkes Booth, Mary Riley as Mary Todd Lincoln, and John Chatterton as Edward Everett.

Robert Cross, Maureen Chandler, Laura Ida Lamberti, Judeth DeMott, Reginald Ferguson, Rob Richardson, Katharine Poklemba, Sunrise Marks, Paul Mischeshin, Douglas Caine, Michael Strozier, Ross Pivec, Greg Adair, McGregor Wright and Matt Slavin will also be featured in the play.

The show will perform every Thursday-Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. (no show on Easter Sunday). Tickets, which are $15 and $12 for students, seniors and groups, are on sale at www.smarttix.com.
