The Times Square Alliance will continue its inaugural season of TSQ ? NYC, approximately 30 hours per week of free summer music and public programming throughout the Broadway Pedestrian Plazas, amidst the lights and sounds of the iconic setting of Times Square, the Crossroads of the World, during August and September.
Programming includes:
Broadway Buskers, concerts of original music, hits from yesterday and today, and musical theater tunes with singer-songwriters who happen to be Broadway actors and composers, curated by Ben Cameron, the host of Broadway Sessions, and BroadwayCon, on Tuesdays in August and September from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the Broadway Plaza between 42nd and 43rd Streets. There will be no concert on Tuesday, August 7th.
Times Square Jazz, presented by Make Music New York on Thursdays in August from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Broadway Plaza between 42nd and 43rd Streets. There will not be concerts on August 2nd and August 9th.
LIVE • MUSIC • DAILY with MTA Music Under New York solo musicians on Mondays through Fridays from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in August and September on the Broadway Plazas between 42nd and 44th Streets.
Coloring activities in partnership with Strand and Coloring Broadway on Wednesdays in August from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Strand Kiosk on the Broadway Plaza between 43rd and 44th Streets.
Enjoy a bite and a drink during any of the above programming from TSQ MKT, a year-round culinary showcase of New York City's most distinctive and unexpected food and retail offerings.

Ryan Scott Oliver's musicals include Jasper in Deadland, 35mm: A Musical Exhibition, Darling, Mrs. Sharp, Out of My Head, and The Frog Prince Continued. He has previously opened Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, and contributed an original musical to BroadwayCon. A collection of his work, Rated RSO, has played the Kennedy Center, Joe's Pub, and New York Musical Theatre Festival.
Oliver is a Jonathan Larson Grant recipient, Richard Rodgers Award winner, a Lortel Award nominee, recipient of numerous ASCAP awards, and a Dramatists Guild Fellow. His songbook, Music+Lyrics by Ryan Scott Oliver: Vol. 1, was published by Hal Leonard in 2011.

Rubel is one of the newest revelations in Brazilian folk music. His first single "Quando Bate Aquela Saudade" went viral and more than 24 million people have watched the video on Youtube since 2015. He went to 22 cities on his first album tour during 2015 and 2016, with 28 sold out concerts. His second album tour has 27 confirmed concerts in 2018 with three that are already sold out. Rubel's second album, sponsored by Natura Musical, was released last March.

The Muse, a Brooklyn-based contemporary circus company, gives small-scale street performances of its non-traditional circus shows, with acts including juggling, clowning, contortion, acrobatic duos, and more.

Musicians from the MTA's Music Under New York program - encompassing classical string musicians, jazz ensembles, world music bands, folk and a cappella groups, and singer-songwriters that perform in approximately 30 locations throughout the transit system annually - bring their talents above ground for Times Square audiences.
COLORING
with the Strand

Strand Kiosk, Broadway Plaza between 43rd and 44th Streets
Held in partnership with Strand Book Store, weekly coloring sessions include one-of-a-kind pages designed by the team behind Strand's iconic tote bags, apparel and merchandise, as well as Broadway-themed pages from Coloring Broadway. Coloring materials, original artwork to color, and live musical accompaniment are provided.
