On Monday, July 11, the Theater People podcast welcomes Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart.

Iglehart made his Broadway debut in 2007 as Mitch in THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. In 2009 he originated the role of Bobby in the Tony Award winning Best Musical, MEMPHIS.

In 2014, he won the role of a lifetime as the Genie in the original Broadway production of Disney's Aladdin. He would go on to win the Tony Award for his work in the show.

For the Episode, Iglehart reflects on his career, and discussed the challenges and advantages of stepping into such an iconic role as Genie.
